About Okinogu Karate Festival

Okinogu Karate Festival is an annual celebration of karate held at Okinogu, the sacred land in Okinawa, birthplace of karate.

Practitioners across schools gather for sacred demonstrations before the deities and exchange with one another, carrying forward karate tradition and spirit.

October 25 is designated as Karate Day, and Okinogu holds the Karate Festival on this day each year.
